Well, what a busy week for everyone in Nidd Valley. I’ve had my Nidd vest on 3 times in 4 days this week, its unheard of!
A huge thank you to everyone involved in the Wetherby Parkrun takeover on Saturday and well done to everyone racing at the Evening League, Staveley or any other events.
Lots of team spirit on show this week which makes me proud to be part of this club.

Tuesday 25/6/19 Club Run.
Alan will be opening the hockey club for anyone who wants to meet up there and organise a social run.
Route. Valley Gardens.
Claro Road, Town Centre, through the Valley Gardens, Harlow Moor Road, Beckwith Road and Green Lane returning via Leeds Road or Hookstone Road.
Blackfell Race Recce.
Fell running Phil is doing a recce of this race. Anyone who fancies joining him should meet at the main car park in Kettlewell at 9.30am on Saturday 29th.
To give you an idea on timings, in 2018,he ran the race in 2h20m. Might be best if you print off the route map from the above website and carry full kit too, just in case.

Cath Barber is looking for company.
She is running 30 miles in 3 x 10 mile loops around Nidderdale.
This is her first 30 mile run. She is using the village car park at Dacre Banks (opposite the Royal Oak) as a base.
She would welcome any company for some or all of it.
Each loop will be different but all will involve hills and be on paths and tracks so trail shoes and extra clothing is advised.
Its ultra training so the hills will be walked and the running at a gentle trot.
Loop 1: Start – 9am Finish-11:15 Pit stop: 11.15-11.30
Loop 2: Start -11:30 Finish 14:00 Pit stop: 14:00 – 14:15
Loop 3: Start-14.15 Finish 18:00 18:01 – pub
Pacing Groups. Club Sessions.
Group 1. – Approx 8 to 8.30 minute mile pace
Group 2. – Approx 9 to 9.30 minute mile pace
Group 3. – Approx 10 to 10.30 minute mile pace
Group 4 – Approx 10.30 to 11 minute mile pace
Group 5 – Social, recovery run with no pace in mind but a chance to chat as you jog, going as far as you want.

Buddy up where possible and always with any new members.
