I originally started running, in 2013, to help me lose weight. I really enjoyed it & decided to set myself a goal. So I entered the great north run, for 2014. I started going to parkrun too. When I’d completed it I just loved the feeling of it all, the training, the build up, the actual event. But most of all it was the euphoric feeling afterwards, I was on such a high. From there I entered another event. In the meantime I joined Nidd Valley Road Runners. I was worried in case i wasn’t fast or good enough. That worry was dispelled immediately when I went for my first run with them. They were so welcoming & accommodating. 4 years on & I’ve done countless races, which includes 2 marathons & a hardmoors event.
