Why join a running club? The answer is easy! A running club is a fantastic place to draw inspiration from others, to share top tips, to sympathise about aches and pains, and to mix with people from all walks of life.
Here at Nidd Valley we have a huge array of people of different ages and abilities. We have people who don’ t want to compete through to those who race ultra marathons. We have those who love pounding the pavements, and those who want nothing more than so dash through muddy fields.
Joining a club gives you chance to swap ideas, talk nutrition, hear about smaller local races and more importantly give you the push to get out and running when your head is telling you to stay indoors.
Its not all just about running either! Our members keep up their fitness by doing all sorts of different things – cycling, open water swimming – there’s always someone out there.
And of course an important part of exercise is rest…….with a lively social scene we often let our hair down and take refuelling very seriously indeed!
Don’ t forget that you can come along a few times just to see if it’s right for you before becoming a member.
The hardest part of training is getting out there – this way its easier!!!
