Tell us your name. | Sylvia Morten |
How and when did you first start running? | I suddenly realised, on my 45th birthday, that if I didn’t do some form of exercise I wouldn’t be fit enough to enjoy my later life. At the time I couldn’t run a bath so it took me 3 attempts to complete Day 1 of a couch to 5k programme of running a minute and walking a minute for 20 minutes! |
What brought you to Nidd Valley? | I approached Geoff at Park Run and I asked him if the club had a section for the more mature lady who wasn’t very good but would really like to improve and he said “yes, come on down” |
When did you join Nidd Valley? | January 2017 |

What is your favourite food before and after running? | Pre-run a big bowl of porridge or peanut butter sandwich if its a later run, and post run a banana |

What are your running goals? | To manage hills better |
