How and when did you first start running? | About 4 years ago as was coming up to 40 and wanted to get fit |
What brought you to Nidd Valley? | I’m not keen on running by myself so wanted to join a friendly sociable club to build my confidence and improve my running ability |
When did you join Nidd Valley? | About 2 years ago. I don’t come along regularly as I work away a lot, but I always enjoy it when I can come along to the club runs |
What is your favourite running music? Genre or specific tracks? | I prefer not to listen to music when I’m running |
What is your favourite food before and after running? | Usually cereal or a banana |
What is your best running tip that you would like to share with us? | For me personally it’s about just enjoying it, and not getting too hung up on times etc. |
What is your proudest moment in your running career? | Probably just having found the confidence to enter a few races and join a club, as I was really discouraged from P.E. during my school years and believed for a long time that I’m rubbish at sport. Running is something I have naturally clicked with. |
What are your running goals? | I’ve done a few 10k’s now so want to get up to 10 mile distance by the end of this year |
What event are you training for at the moment? | Richmond 10k |
