Week Ahead – 13th May 2019

Afternoon All,
I hope this finds you all well.

Guy Fawkes 10 Race.

I’m sure you’re all aware our Guy Fawkes 10 road race takes place on 3rd November 2019 and is now open for entries.Sam Fugill is the race director and doing an excellent job with everything on track. The video he produced to launch the opening is superb and has clearly encouraged people to enter as we have sold over 300 places within the first week.Thank you Sam.
This race is a huge commitment for the club for which we need lots of marshals and people to help with key roles.
Unfortunately, for this reason we actively discourage NVRR from entering the race and ask instead that you support by marshaling or helping as required on the day. Its great fun, honestly!

Summer Training / Coaching Plan. There will be a series of training plans with coaches leading the sessions throughout the summer. Emma Kicks is taking the lead on this with Sarah Hughan, Sarah Chalmers, Jeff Walker, Jonathon Easton, Phil Ventress and Cath Barber taking on key roles.

Thank you to all involved in this as its a big commitment.

These sessions will include fell training, interval training and a specific 12 week half marathon plan leading up to the Redcar Half Marathon, a club championship race. There will be more details as we approach the first of the sessions.
All of the club members trained as leaders in running fitness will be called upon to assist.
