Week Ahead – Sunday 25th August 2019

Afternoon All

As always, I hope this finds you all well and enjoying the glorious bank holiday weekend.

I don’t normally spotlight individual performances in this e mail, but Ive been so impressed with one of our long standing members that I thought it only right to mention it this week.

Fiona Deacon runs as a female vet in the 55 to 59 age category, and this week she was not only the first Nidd lady home at both races, but won the VF55 at both races. Now this is impressive; but what’s even more impressive and inspiring is that Fiona is returning from a serious injury. She has had a long road to recovery but with patience, following all the advice from professionals and sheer determination, she is back winning races. Fiona is living proof that there is running after injury!
