Week Ahead – Sunday 6th Janaury 2020

Afternoon All

Happy New Year to each and every one of you. I hope this year brings you good health, peace and new adventures.

Well done to those runners taking part in the Yorkshire Cross Country on Saturday and to all the teams in the Ringway Relay event. I must say one looked to be a lot more fun than the other! Of course I would have loved to have taken part in either event.

I’m sure you’ll all join me in saying a huge thank you to Dave Seaman who has worked closely with Harrogate Harriers to get the Ringway Relay off the ground, and to make the event the success it was. Thank you Dave.

On a similar note Dave and Graham Hyde are busy preparing for the Peco race number 3 at Crimple Valley, Harrogate which we are hosting with Knaresborough Striders . Please consider marshaling if you’re not running and can spare some time on 19th January. Ill be there cheering everyone on with words of encouragement, the odd sarcastic comment and a well earned pat on the back at the finish.

This week the club house is open as usual on Tuesday 7th with for changing facilities only; but on Thursday 9th it’s open for post run drinks too. I will be there hoping to see some of you for a little get together.

One last reminder before the week ahead.

Awards Night! Saturday 25/1/20.
Tickets are still available and a bargain at £30. Please liaise with Nadene Wilkinson who has all the information.
This really is a fun evening with a chance to socialise with fellow runners, eat, drink, dance and of course congratulate all of our winners.
