Wekk Ahead – Sunday 19th January 2020

Afternoon All

Another huge success for Nidd Valley Road Runners today! Planning and working together with Knaresborough Striders to make today’s Peco XC such a fabulous event.

Watching you all come together, racing, marshaling and encouraging one another was a delight to see and be part of. Hats off to Dave Seaman for planning and organising the route, a challenging one by all accounts; and to Graham Hyde for plotting the marshal spots and coordinating all the marshals.

We have an exciting week ahead as it’s finally time to enjoy what for many is the highlight of the year. Yes, it’s our awards night on Saturday. I’m ahead of the game on this one. Before anyone asks ” is it suitable for off road shoes?” the answer is an easy “No”. No trainers, spikes, fell shoes or trail shoes, and no club vests or club buffs! Just plenty of style and panache. Sparkle, feathers and frills are especially welcome.

So here we go, the week ahead.

Come on you know you want to do this. You’ll feel better afterwards and feel even better on Saturday when you’re strutting your stuff at the awards evening.
