Afternoon All,
What a cracking day it is too! I hope you’ve all managed to do your off road 5 miler and submitted your times to our club captains, Sarah and Kevin.
Next week will seem easy as we have a 5k planned for the virtual road race championship, not only that you can use your time as your submission for the inter Club Virtual Race between Ripon Runners and Knaresborough Striders.
Please see my post dated Thursday 16th July for full details.
Of course, you actually have between 21st July to 9th August to run and submit your 5K time for the inter Club Virtual Race.
The committee have made the decision to stop the “please don’t wear your club clothing for training or virtual racing” request so it’s your choice. New vest, new tee shirt, old vest or whatever you wish, please just wear something!
We’ve also decided to do away with the booking system for club nights, so just turn up. Obviously the social distancing and group numbers still apply but we can work with numbers on the evening.
In relation to the club nights, we’ve set aside the last Thursday of each month as the evening we will invite potential new members to join us for a run. This month it will be Thursday 30th July. If you know of anyone interested in trying us out feel free to invite them along on that date.

\the off road run for Thursday will be from Burn Bridge. Park in the road opposite the Black Swan (Malthouse Lane) ready to set off at 7 pm sharp. It will be about 10k again with the possibility of a quick pint of something afterwards in the Black Swan.
