Afternoon All
Welcome to another busy week ahead with lots of running opportunities, a zoom meeting and a vote!
I’ll start with my final reminder regarding membership subs. England Athletic extended the deadline for subs to this bank holiday Monday, 31st August so you’re not too late if you want to submit today. Membership Renewal Form
Virtual Races. Yes two!
We have a second inter club virtual race starting at 9am on Tuesday 1st September until 6pm on Sunday 13th September. This has been arranged by Ripon Runners with a more equal scoring system rather than the previous one, where the club with the most runners were almost guaranteed to win.
Its simple too, run as far as you can over your chosen route for 30 mins and record your distance in Km. Upload your distance together with a selfie to the dedicated FB page or email Sarah or Kevin with your result. Only one distance to be submitted, don’t keep submitting improved times. They will only accept your first result.
This event is not to be confused with the last of our very own virtual running race which just happens to cross over on some of the dates for the inter club one. This is also a case of running anywhere for 30 minutes and recording your distance.
Of course that means if you time it right you can make one huge effort and use your distance for both events.
Our club dates are Monday 31/8/20 to Sunday 6th September. Results to be emailed to Sarah or Kevin please.
Zoom Session.
We have our question and answer session on the proposed donation to long lands common at 7.30pm on Wednesday 2/9/20.
Extraordinary AGM. Voting on Long Lands Common Donation.
We have an extraordinary AGM taking place in the form of a on line survey monkey vote on Sunday 6/9/20. Please refer to my previous email the W/C 24/8/20 for full details. Kevin Dalton will also forward more details closer to next weekend.
We need you to participate as without 20 % of our members doing so we cannot continue with the meeting.
So, onto our club nights.
Tuesday 1/9/20. 7pm Hockey Club.
Route 2. Knaresborough 7 miles. In reverse.
I’ve suggested this as its scenic and doing it in reverse makes a refreshing change!
There will be an off road route on offer too, setting off from the club.
Please use the link for full details. Club Routes

This is especially important as we are no longer using the booking on system.
