Week Ahead 13th September 2020

Afternoon All

As always, I hope this finds you safe and well and you’re managing to keep up with the latest COVID guidance. As you might expect, I’m having to mention it in this weeks email.

Our plan is to continue meeting on a Tuesday and Thursday evening, outside the hockey club. We just need to ensure that we are in groups of 6 as we set off to run, and stay like that during the run. Once again, I ask that you don’t wear your Nidd vests whilst you’re out running, we don’t want to draw attention to ourselves, particularly, if for some reason, we end up looking as though were a group of more than 6.

This applies to any weekend run too, if it’s a club-organised event such as those Dave Seaman has kindly organised over the Summer.

In other news, there were 95 members who voted on the proposal to donate £200 of club funds to the Long Lands Common initiative, all 95 were in favour. Thank you.

You still have until 6pm tonight to compete in the virtual inter club 30 minute challenge; so if you haven’t already done so, get your kit on and go for it. Don’t forget to post before 6pm on the dedicated inter-club Facebook page.

On a similar note, watch out for the ‘double dash’ virtual challenge Kevin and Sarah are organising, another chance to test yourself. Starts the week commencing 21st September but they need to know if you’re interested by 18th September.
