Afternoon All,
Well that’s January 2021 done and dusted! That means there’s only 5 weeks before March and hopefully some Spring cheer for us all.
Virtual Races.
I must say I’ve been impressed with members taking part in our virtual Cross Country races, some cracking times but most importantly its been nice to see people just getting out there and taking on the mud, the snow and the ice!
When you’re submitting times for the virtual events it is the time elapsed that you submit if youre using Strava. If you’re using another method its the total time out on the run and you’re not expected to stop your watch when you stop, mid run for whatever reason.
Definitely time to thanks Sarah Chalmers, Kevin Dalton and Dave Seaman for all their hard work in planning these routes. The 4th Cross Country is going to begin on 8th February and not tomorrow as initially planned.
Please dont forget, if you cant make it to the Cross Country without breaking the most recent lockdown rules there is the mini series on offer too and of course a badge to be had! Thats one badge wether you chose to do the Cross Country and the mini series, I know how some of you just like a challenge!
Sarah also forwarded details of RaceBest Even Splits Lockdown League virtual races too so theres plenty to keep you fighting fit.
Annual General Meeting.
Wednesday 24th February, don’t forget it’s our AGM via Zoom at 7:30pm. Everyone is welcome but we need at least 20% so dont be shy, get yourself on camera and make the most of it.
Christina Taylor our secretary, will be in touch again before the meeting with further details including the agenda and any relevant documents, paticularly relating to issues requiring a vote.
Well, other than, to wish you all a good week with plenty of running and good health thats it for this week.
Best Wishes,
Christine
NVRR Chair.
