Good evening!
We have an exciting change to Tuesday this week as Darren from England Athletics is coming to lead us in an interval session. The session will start at 7 pm, so if you are joining in, please meet at the hockey club about 10 mins before. Darren will be going through warm up, running drills and then an interval set designed specifically for everyone training for the 10km goal race. Suitable for ALL abilities. However, you don’t need to be following the 10km plan to take part! The session will be held on the field at the back of the hockey club.
If intervals are not your thing you will still be able to go for a run from the hockey club instead.
Then on Thursday you could run route 12 if you wish with your appropriately paced group:

Or you can choose a different route if you prefer!!!
With regards to off road running on a Thursday, but please feel free to arrange a run of your choice either from the club or another location. The committee are planning an off- road route from Hampsthwaite within the next few weeks, as mentioned in Rob’s email, and we are also hoping to get a few more Thursday off- road adventures in whilst we still have some evening light. So watch this space!
Here are the pacing suggestions:
8 – 8:30 min miles
8:30 – 9 min miles
9 – 9:30 min miles
9:30 – 10 min miles
10 – 10:30 min miles
10:30 – 11:30 min miles
See you all on Tuesday, and please let me know if I have forgotten anything as my brain is a bit tired and foggy this evening!!!

Captain’s Corner:
Huge congrats to all those who ran at Burton Leonard, with special mention to anyone running their first race. It was a tough route in the heat but everyone did really well.
Don’t forget that it’s Otley 10 on Wednesday so please check your start time and make sure you arrive at the right time to collect your number and get to the start line. Good luck everyone!
