Running, climbing, sliding…..whatever gets you there the quickest!

Some very varied racing occurred this weekend! British Fell running relays yesterday and York 10 mile or the Marathon today! Amazing performances by absolutely everyone. Special thanks to Fell Running Phil for organising the relays. It takes quite a lot of work to make sure 18 Nidders get to a remote location in Tebay to run up and down some very very steep hills. No, we weren’t at the service station.

Thanks to everyone who turned up for the Guy Fawkes recce too. There is another one next weekend. 10 am from Ripley Car park again.

If you’ve not had enough of racing, it’s the York Even Splits 5km this Friday evening and it’s another one in the road champs. I’m pretty sure it’s not too late to enter via the even splits website. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong. Then there is another fell race on Sunday called Lockton Limping. It’s full though, so too late to enter if you weren’t quick enough. Anyone got a spare place? I wasn’t quick enough!!!!

On to Tuesday and Thursday club runs. By popular request I’m suggesting different routes this week….sorry about that! So how about these:

Tuesday: https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/3451303/NVRR-Route-8-Mallinson

Thursday: https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/3451602/NVRR-Route-10-Pannal

Suggested pace groups as follows:
8-9mins per mile
9-10mins per mile
10-11mins per mile
11-12 mins per mile
Run walk

That’s all for now folks, until next week,

Emma
