Hi all,
First off: an apology. I’ve not got a spare minute today and have had a to-do list longer than a Leonard Cohen song. Therefore, I am going to have to do a bare bones weekly update with just what we have up and coming in this next week. I know we’ve had some brilliant results in the PECO and the Fell Champs this weekend, and I’ll compile all of these results in full next week when, I hope, normal service will resume.
On Tuesday, we continue with our intervals. This time, we are doing the hill session down on Knox, so you’ll need to get yourself down to the junction between Knox Lane and Ripley Drive (just down from the Knox Arms Pub). Sarah C and Nigel are leading the 6pm session, whereas Brian and Chris Orr are your hosts for the 7pm slot. As ever, try and stick something high-viz on so you can be seen and get ready to feel the burn from those hills!
Thursday brings another club run, and this week we will be heading down to Knaresborough. Meet upstairs in the Hockey Club and be good to run for 7pm. We’ll head round the back of the school, down Kingsley Drive and to Starbeck. From there, it’s down Knaresborough Hill, along Waterside, back over the low bridge and up Forest Moor. You can, if you want, avoid the longer run down to Knaresborough and, from Starbeck, just run down Forest Lane towards the double roundabout. Whichever route you take, from there, head along Hookstone Chase, through Morrisons car park, and back to the club from Starbeck. Pints in the bar afterwards.
Good luck to all running at the Tad 10 on Sunday. This is the last race in the road championships and has now sold out so, if you haven’t got a place, well then you ain’t going to be running.
