Hi all, and apologies that this is the shortest weekly update in history. I’m not long back from the North East where I have been with my family. I’ll do a proper results write up either later this week, or will do a full effort next week. Apologies. So, to all the essential information…
Jo Lane has picked the route for our Tuesday club run. She’d like to go to Knaresborough, which seems fair enough to me. Meet at the Hockey Club for 7pm. We’ll head down the Beryl Burton cycle track towards Knaresborough, along Waterside, and come back over the fields into Starbeck before heading back up towards the club. This is easily a seven mile route, so please do feel free to amend and do something different if you would prefer, perhaps turing round in Starbeck rather than dropping down into Knaresborough.
Thursday is the next in the series of away from club runs, and this week we are having a run courtesy of the ever-lovely Nick Crebbin. He’s taking us to Harewood, and has two routes (7.7km and 9.2km) with another extended option to enjoy the Emmerdale set. Meet at the Muddy Boots Cafe on Church Lane (what3words ///fonts.panoramic.fault) and be good to run for 7pm. Pints afterwards in the Harewood Arms. Nick will have maps and .gpx files nearer the time for those that need them.
There will NOT be an organised club run from the Hockey Club on Thursday night.
At the weekend, we have our 40th Anniversary celebrating run, and on Saturday we’ll be running the 40 miles from the source of the Nidd to Knaresborough. Please see the email that FRP sent last Wednesday with all of the details, and also read up on info on our website: https://tinyurl.com/mv3ht8fp. On Sunday, we’ve got the Empress Pub in Harrogate booked for an afternoon of making merry. Whether running, drinking, or both, I hope that you’ll be able to join us for some of our celebrations. This is a remarkable club, you’re all wonderful people, and we have much to celebrate.
Again, sorry for brevity. Have a great week all.
