How and when did you first start running? |
I began running around 2013. I was watching my younger son’s rugby training with some other mums and we decided we would try running together while they were practicing. It was a slow start but about six months later we all ran the Abbey Dash. |
What brought you to Nidd Valley? |
I’d heard it was a friendly club and I’d entered the Edinburgh Marathon and thought I needed to train more |

March 2018 |
What is your favourite running music? Genre or specific tracks? |
I don’t normally run with music, I just enjoy being outside and seeing what’s happening around me |
What is your favourite food before and after running? |
I usually have porridge before a longer run |
What is your best running tip that you would like to share with us? |
To warm up beforehand, I’ve had a couple of minor injuries from being unprepared |
What is your proudest moment in your running career? |
Completing the Edinburgh Marathon |
What are your running goals? |
I’d like to run a half marathon in under 2 hours my best so far is 2.02hrs. |
What event are you training for at the moment? |
Ive entered the Amsterdam half marathon in October |
