How and when did you first start running? | I started running at school doing cross county and track |
What brought you to Nidd Valley? | I was looking to re-join a running club to challenge myself after a sudden illness. I knew of a few local clubs and watched how these clubs interacted weekly at Harrogate parkrun. Nidd Valley were the only club that I thought stood out as a group who liked to be together as they congregated waiting for parkrun to start. I was not disappointed and I am very glad with my choice. |
When did you join Nidd Valley? | I think it was late 2016 into spring of 2017 |
What is your favourite running music? Genre or specific tracks? | Something up beat, I often just pick a play list if I use music at all |
What is your favourite food before and after running? | Chinese always but it doesn’t have to be a run day 🙂 |
What is your best running tip that you would like to share with us? | Have fun and enjoy it, everything else will come in time |
What is your proudest moment in your running career? | Oh… Career! Not sure I would call it that. I think after my illness and getting back into races was really hard for me. I did completed the Cardiff Half Marathon as one of my back to health milestone and got a PB that I am still very proud of. Cardiff was a run I wanted to do for a long time and I really enjoyed the event. |
What are your running goals? | Have fun, finish healthy and strong. |
What event are you training for at the moment? | Aberdeen Half Marathon as I wasn’t able to do it last year due to family things |
