Afternoon All,
Happy New Year Everyone!
What a way to start the year, moving up to Tier 3! At least we’re still able to meet outside and can continue with our intervals and Thursday club evenings.
I’m going to launch straight into some important club matters relating to the committee and the not so far away AGM.
Ordinarily we would have the chance to chat about such matters as we socialise but sadly thats rather limited.
All the positions on the committee are available for any club member to apply for, this includes positions where the existing committee member is looking to remain in post.
I’ve attached a document outlining the various roles so you can see what is required and make a more informed decision should you be interested.
Further information can be found in the club constitution on our web site.
Anyone interested in a place on the committee will be asked to complete a short questionnaire just covering issues such as why you’re putting yourself forward and what you could bring to the role.
Again, this is not something we’ve done in the past but as the AGM will be a zoom affair, general discussion becomes restricted. In the interest of fairness, should there be more than one person seeking a position and a vote becomes necessary, members will know something about the applicant in advance of the zoom AGM.
If you’re interested in any of the positions you can also chat to any member of the committee.
The following Committee members have confirmed their intention to stand down:
Chair
Secretary
Ladies Captain
1 General Member.
Running.
Bec’s 12 days of Christmas is still ongoing. If you’re like me and haven’t quite made it out everyday why not do as many runs as you can?
Well done on the teams that ran the Ringway Relay today. Hope to see some photos on facebook soon.
The 2nd Cross Country virtual race starts on Monday and you have until 17th to complete it. Its a long one, but a cracking cross country route. Maps and routes are on the NVRR website.
